I am a Junior System Administrator based in Baton Rouge, LA, supporting technical operations, systems, and services for LSU CCT and ORED. My work includes server support, patching, backups, documentation, research support, and day-to-day troubleshooting for users and systems.
I enjoy building reliable solutions, solving technical problems, and creating documentation that helps teams work more efficiently.
Selected Work
Infrastructure & Systems Administration
- Administer Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server hosts for research and administrative workloads at LSU CCT/ORED.
- Handle patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting for physical and virtual servers, desktops, and laptops.
Virtualization & Backup Operations
- Support Hyper-V and VMware environments, including provisioning, lifecycle operations, and performance troubleshooting.
- Work on projects such as SCVMM database migrations to new SQL Server instances and backup monitoring for critical systems.
Documentation & Process Improvement
- Create runbooks and procedures for recurring tasks such as patching, backup checks, and common incident response.
- Contribute to improvements around tools like Request Tracker by documenting workflows and upgrade steps.
Research & User Support
- Provide technical support for faculty, researchers, and students using specialized systems, clusters, and applications.
- Help users with access, environment setup, and troubleshooting so they can focus on their research and teaching.
